Quincy Desiccant Air Dryers - purify compressed
air by absorbing water vapor. The units direct the flow
of wet compressed air through a bed of highly adsorbent
desiccant.
Only Quincy Air Dryers have “Q-Sorb”—the
first significant improvement in activated alumina in many
years—as the adsorbent desiccant. The uniform size
of its beads minimizes channeling and allows more efficient
use of the entire dryer tower, thus reducing operating
costs. Q-Sorb’s higher crush strength and low abrasion
characteristic also add to Quincy desiccant dryer performance
as they reduce dusting, which results in longer filter
element life, longer desiccant life and lower pressure
drop—all money-saving features.
Heatless Purge (Quincy QDTS) - These dryers use a small portion of the dried compressed air to purge the off-line tower.
- -40°F to -100°F Dew point
- Flow range: 35-3100 cfm
- First cost: Low
- Operating cost: Medium to High
- Maintenance cost: Low
- Purge: 15%
Heated Purge (Quincy QDHP) - These dryers use less dried compressed air to purge the off line tower than the heatless series. Quincy Microburst Regeneration Full Load Energy Saver cuts purge requirements by 50%. Also significantly reduces heater on time.
- -40°F to -100°F Dew point
- Flow range: 35-3100 cfm
- First cost: Medium
- Operating cost: Lower
- Maintenance cost: Low
- Purge: 3.5% to 7%
Blower Purge (QDBP) - These air dryers combine heat with forced ambient air for regeneration.
- +10°F to -40°F Dew point
- Flow range: 350-3100 cfm
- First cost: High
- Operating cost: Lower
